Focal Strategy are pleased to launch a website upgrade for de Boer and Taylor Equine Vets based in Hampshire.
We were asked to re-design their site so that customers could register for their special offers.
We made a non-Adobe flash based swinging tag so that offers were highlighted to visitors viewing the website on all devices, including iPads, iPhones etc.
The website has a wealth of information for horse owners, and incorporates our professional photography.

We've just added an online shopping facility to Splash Display of Marchwood's website. Payments are quickly and securely made through the Google Checkout service.
A wide array of exhibition materials are now easily purchased from their website from roller banners, to small business exhibition kits and 3 dimensional pop up displays.
Why not take a look around the Splash Display website?
As you will see they have created point of sale and exhibition displays for a wide range of companies including Jamie Oliver, Le Creuset, Audi, Vodaphone and lots more!

A number of years ago, many websites tried to trick Google into ranking them higher by hiding or stuffing keywords on web pages, often by making them the same colour as the background, using a font size of 0, or by positioning them behind images.
This is what is known as 'Black Hat' search engine optimisation (SEO), and Google have repeatedly announced that they now ignore or even penalise sites who use such techniques.
To quote Google:
"if your site is perceived to contain hidden text and links that are deceptive in intent, your website may be removed from the Google index."
You can read more about hidden texts and links on Google's webmaster tools here http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=66353
We always use 'White Hat' search engine optimisation techniques, which are approved by Google and other search engines to ensure our websites are found online.
If you are looking for a website that works hard for your business, always feel free to get in touch or give Pete or Sue a call 02380 844982
Focal Strategy have recently launched a new website for Signature Driveways of Hythe, Hampshire.
The site is based upon the company's own logo design and colour scheme, and incorporates a gallery of photos taken by them at the end of each project.
We also sneaked in a little bit of grass edging, which we think looks pretty neat.
As with all our sites, it is fully search engine optimised with on page 'white hat', Google friendly techniques.

Focal Strategy are pleased to launch a new website for soprano singer Alison Philps today.
Alison wanted us to design a professional website, which was both delicate and feminine (but not flowery), and particularly wanted us to use a pink colour scheme.

The site has embedded sample tracks for visitors to listen to, with a simple 'listen to me sing' navigation tool to ensure people can do this easily from all web pages.

The website includes pro photos taken by Focal Strategy in several locations, to ensure there was a variety of imagery, and a blog linking in to Twitter and Facebook for marketing and SEO purposes.
Why not explore Alison's site now and have a listen?
Focal Strategy often get involved in helping our clients develop promotional tools, like this great video for Splash Display of Hampshire; the styling matches their website that we designed for them.
YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google, so it can be a really great way for businesses to get exposure. Looking to develop your marketing online? Give Peter a call 02380 844982, or drop us a line.
According to Magdelena Georgieva in her useful eBook 'An introduction to business blogging', "Nearly 40% of US companies use blogs for marketing purposes" and "Companies that blog have 55% more website visitors."
A blog is like another doorway into your web content, so that many visitors can find and click on one of your blog articles in search engine results and come to visit your website, as well as enter through the home and other pages.
The more interesting and useful blog posts you write, the more search terms you develop online for your business, therefore creating lots more 'doorways' within search engines such as Google to enter your website.
We code our websites so that Google is actively alerted to any new web content that has been posted; within a very short time your new blog post has been indexed and picked up by Google.
Once in place, a blog is a and very effective search engine optimisation tool when used regularly, in the right way.
Focal Strategy understand how important a blog is to your business. If you would like us to help you keep your blog up to date, to market your business and help boost your search engine results, or would like a new website or a website revamp to include a blog - give Sue a call on 02380 844982 or email sue@focalstrategy.com.
